Deutsche Bahn is alleged to have searched employees' emails According to the special investigators tasked with looking into the Deutsche Bahn data scandal, the emails of Deutsche Bahn employees were specifically searched for contacts with journalists, reports the Süddeutsche Zeitung, citing company sources. Messages in which the names of certain journalists appeared were automatically forwarded to an internal control unit without the employees’ knowledge. A large portion of the workforce was apparently affected by this "large-scale" operation.
