EU Commission's ideas not practical

The specter of chat control has been hanging over EU committees for three years. Following a storm of protest at the end of the year, there will be no agreement on this surveillance tool for all our communications in the near future. Instead, there is now a debate about age verification to block children's access to certain social networks.

Of course, this requires determining how old a user actually is. Asking them directly doesn't get you very far. This means that anonymous use of the internet becomes impossible. That must not happen.
