Stop the war on Venezuela!Three years ago, we sadly had to report that the US had increased the frequency of its wars from two per year to eight. In 2022, the US Congressional Research Service (CRS), similar to the Scientific Service of the German Bundestag, presented a document entitled "Instances of Use of United States Armed Forces Abroad, 1798-2022," which lists all military interventions by the United States. Between 1991 and 2022 alone, there were at least 251, or more than eight wars per year. Since 1798, the US has "let its weapons do the talking" 469 times. However, this list does not include the many covert CIA operations and coup attempts, such as in Chile, Nicaragua, ... and, of course, the extermination of the indigenous population in its "own country" and elsewhere. The Nachdenkseiten website cites as an example the massacre at Wounded Knee on December 28, 1890, in which the 7th US Cavalry Regiment murdered over 300 defenseless members of various Dakota tribes.
Now VenezuelaThe US has bombed the capital and kidnapped President Maduro and his wife. They are allegedly to be put on trial in the US. This war is not about drug trafficking, it is not about democracy – it is about stealing Venezuela's oil and dominating Latin America. It is an outrageous escalation of a murder campaign in international waters and piracy against civilians. The anti-war movement ANSWER Coalition in the US writes: We must take to the streets and say no to another endless war! The people of this country do not want another war! A US war would mean death and destruction for the people of Venezuela. The war machine devours unimaginable sums of our tax money, while working families struggle to make ends meet. In a total war with Venezuela, it will be young people from the working class who will be sent to kill and die, not the children of the executives of ExxonMobil and LockheedMartin. People must take to the streets and say no to Trump's war against Venezuela! That is what we did last night after a call from the Berlin Peace Coordination. At a rally in front of the US Embassy at the Brandenburg Gate, the US war of aggression against the South American country, which violates international law, was condemned. The German government and the EU must act now. The much-vaunted “rules-based order,” international law, and the sovereignty of a state have been violated by this act of piracy. The logical response would be to impose immediate sanctions against the US, e.g.
We will also take to the streets in the coming days to demand this. The Trump administration started the new year by illegally invading and bombing the sovereign nation of Venezuela, killing at least 80 people, and kidnapping Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. JusticeDemocrats.com, 05.01.26 22:23 Kommentar: RE: 20260104 Sofortige Sanktionen gegen die USA! Trump has been explicit about the motive. He has said the United States will take oil wealth from Venezuela and that American oil companies will rebuild its oil sector and make money. That language turns an illegal war into a business opportunity and places Big Oil at the center of a foreign policy scandal. The Trump administration has ushered in the new year with an unconstitutional use of force overseas. Make no mistake: Trump’s actions in Venezuela are corrupt and outrageous, and we must not become complacent to his abuse of power. At the same time, these moves do not reflect confidence or strategic strength. In his attempt to posture as a global bully, Trump is instead weakening his position. democracyincolor, 09.01.26 00:49 Kommentar: RE: 20260104 Sofortige Sanktionen gegen die USA! The US has deployed troops in 172 countries around the world – a sprawling global network which serves as a permanent gesture of threat. 2025: The U.S. has approximately 170,000 to 177,000 active-duty troops stationed overseas in numerous countries, with large concentrations in Japan (around 53,000), Germany (around 35,000), and South Korea (around 24,000).
