Against warmongering and state terrorism by the US

On the occasion of the Munich Security Conference, a peace rally was held here at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin at the same time as the anti-Siko demonstration at Stachus in Munich, which was also supported by Aktion Freiheit e.V. (Freedom Not Fear). Our activists were also there. Further rallies took place at Gänsemarkt in Hamburg, at the Brockhaus fountain on the Zeil in Frankfurt/M, and at the Heiliggeistkirche in Heidelberg.

While the cold warriors cheer each other on in Munich, the peace movement takes to the streets with the people suffering from their wars. The foreign policy of the USA, which consists of blackmail, kidnapping, sanctions, direct acts of war, and even attempts to starve countries that refuse to submit, threatens not only the countries of Latin America, above all Cuba, but also, most recently, Iran and Greenland, as well as all countries that refuse to bow to its claim to supremacy. The peace and solidarity movements are joining forces to oppose this.

Because the annual security conference is currently taking place in Munich, we have chosen February 14 to take to the streets in several cities to protest against this hegemonic policy of the US, which is supported by the EU and the German government. After the invasion of Venezuela, which violated international law and resulted in the killing of more than 80 Venezuelans and the kidnapping of the president and his wife, the US war machine is now turning its attention to Cuba. Due to the blockade of oil imports, which is also contrary to international law, the country is effectively subject to a standstill in motorized transport and constant power cuts. For years, the UN General Assembly has been calling for the lifting of US sanctions by a large majority—most recently with only two votes against (the US and Israel).

For international law and the sovereignty of states! NO to war!

Nicht zu vergessen: Auch der Krieg Israels wird mit US Unterstützung noch immer weiter geführt. Israel hat seit 2023 über 70.000 Palästinenser getötet und seit Oktober vergangenen Jahres wiederholt gegen den brüchigen Waffenstillstand verstoßen. Seitdem wurden über 400 Palästinenser*innen getötet, darunter auch Journalisten*innen, die gezielt angegriffen wurden. Die Büros der UN-Agentur für palästinensische Flüchtlinge (UNRWA) wurden in einem beispiellosen Angriff auf die Vereinten Nationen zerstört. ...
