The AfD must be classified as a far-right extremist party
This is suggested by an expert opinion from the Society for Civil Liberties (GFF), which must be presented to all members of parliament so that steps can finally be taken to ban this party before it is too late. However, the Federal Constitutional Court will not rule until the federal government, the Bundestag, or the Bundesrat files a motion to ban the party. Hundreds of thousands are already calling for a ban on the AfD — you can join them by signing the Campact petition linked below. On May 2, 2025, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution finally classified the AfD as a confirmed far-right extremist organization. The federal government should now urgently consider banning the AfD. Chancellor Friedrich Merz must act now and publish the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution’s classification. The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution has already classified state chapters in Thuringia, Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt — where elections are now upcoming — as definitively far-right. Elections are also taking place in Berlin on September 20. That is why the AfD wanted to secure the space in front of the Rotes Rathaus yesterday and hold a rally there. Many Berliners were not in favor of this and turned out for a counter-demonstration. Activists from Aktion Freiheit statt Angst e.V. were there, making their voices heard. The approximately 150-200 AfD supporters kept to themselves and were able to share their “wisdom” among themselves. The police had ensured a strict separation based on human rights views by setting up two rows of barriers and deploying at least as many officers. One gem that managed to filter through was the statement: “The CDU has conformed to the Marxist-Leninist one-size-fits-all approach of the SPD, the Greens, and the Left Party.” This statement leads us to suspect that the oft-repeated assumption — that the AfD was able to become so strong solely because of disillusioned “East Germans” — is false. After all, they would surely have learned in their Marxist-Leninist courses that there are indeed political differences between the SPD, the Greens, and the Left Party, and would never have preached such nonsense. Now is the time to act!Spoil the AfD’s party convention — Everyone to Erfurt on July 4!
