The EU Commission President’s subservience seems to know no bounds. Google constantly violates EU law and should therefore actually expect a fine in the billions. Campact writes on its petition platform WeAct: This fine was actually supposed to be imposed in March, but nothing has happened since then. Now the media is reporting: EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has halted the fine under pressure from the U.S. – because Washington has been up in arms against Europe’s competition rules for months. The EU Parliament is already calling on the Commission to take decisive action.
